What is Disciple Now?
Disciple Now is a once-a-year, weekend long youth event where students experience fun-filled activities designed to encourage their spiritual walk. Each year a specific theme is chosen to focus our study. This year's theme is "Driven" and focuses on the life of Paul. The cost for weekend is $20 which helps defray the cost of food and t-shirts.
Disciple Now will officially begin at 6:00 on Friday evening with Registration. We are so excited that we will be using our new westside campus. The snack bar and games will be open for kids to enjoy when they arrive.
Youth are divided into groups based on their age and gender. These small groups will be spending the nights in host homes. Host homes are generous members of the church who have committed to provided sleeping space, meals and transportation to youth throughout the weekend. Small group sessions will be led by a select group of mature college students.
One important aspect of Disicple Now weekend is the mission project. Youth will spend time helping others by doing labor, cleaning, and other chores.
One of the most exciting parts of this year's Disciple Now is the Soapbox Derby. Each group will build and decorate a Soapbox Racing Car. Sunday morning we will have a race! There will also be awards for Best Decoration and Spirit
